Looking for more ways to strengthen your little ones language and literacy skills? Here are a few of our favorite FREE resources.
Language and Literacy Printables
Book IT! – I’ve been a fan of Book IT! since I was in elementary school myself. Their R.E.D. (Read Every Day) Zone features printables and read and do activity plans that can be used for toddlers and preschoolers.
Florida Center for Reading Research – FCRR is one of the leaders in reading research and they’ve developed preschool and pre-K learning center activities, as well as student center activities for elementary-aged students. These materials can be printed, laminated, and used over and over again.
Book Reviews/Blogs
Helping Kids Rise – Helping Kids Rise not only provides book reviews, they also focus on social justice, parenting, and education.
Here Wee Read – This is by far our favorite book review blog for diverse characters! Here Wee Read actually inspired me to start sharing the books we were reading with my personal network of friends.
PragmaticMom – PragmaticMom is the place to go to look for book reviews, parenting tips, and educational resources.
